76 – The brother continues to guide my visit as he explains, “The Tabor Hostel was built recently, and inaugurated in 2000 during the Jubilee year. In order to comply with the environmental protection regulation, it remains almost completely hidden underground, in the hill, below Castelnuovo dell’Abate. In this way the natural landscape remains unspoiled, while in summer the interior remains fresh and cool, and in winter less harsh and severe. It is very suitable for large groups of youngsters. It consists of 4 big apartments, each having a well-equipped kitchen and ample space for dining, as well as showers, bathrooms and large bedrooms, each with 14 beds. Five rooms, each with 3 beds, and also 2 bathrooms, are found in a separate flank where there is another big kitchen and two big halls for reunions. A magnificent view of the abbey… puts on the finishing touch! (Link).
“We also have another place for our guests. It is near the parish church in the town. Until 1992 the community stayed there, but on transferring ourselves to the abbey complex, it has became a guesthouse. It has 10 rooms set out on 2 floors. Most of them have 2 or 3 beds. There are 4 bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a big kitchen, and a spacious dining room. The guesthouse is suitable for couples, families, little groups, and also for single people.
