Sant’Antimo is the old centre and heart of the Artistic Natural Cultural Park recently founded by the 5 communes of this area: Castiglione d’Orcia, Montalcino, Pienza, Radicofani and San Quirico d’Orcia. To make a visit to this Park means to enter amidst the colours and features of Sienese art in an area that is unique in the whole of Italy, distinguished by certain types of geological earth formations named: ‘crete’, ‘biancane’, ‘calanchi’.
